About the client

Unitymedia is the leading cable operator in Germany. The company operates an integrated cable network that connects 12.8 million homes in its three regions and supplies 7.1 million customers with media and telecommunications services.

The challenge

The leading cable operator Unitymedia approached Brandboost to extend its 400-Mbit campaign to the social web in order to increase awareness of its new high-speed internet connection offer.

The idea

Brandboost created and produced the branded content format #EchtEntspannt, starring famous social influencers. The format was hosted by YouTube star Joyce, who interviewed among others “Homeland” star Sven Schelker and the online gaming star Sarazar.

The results

A series of four online videos was published on Unitymedia’s YouTube channel accompanied by shout-outs from the social influencers on other social media platforms. The videos reached more than 3,5 million views and generated increased community engagement on the Unitymedia YouTube channel.
