About the client

Doritos is a brand of seasoned tortilla chips produced since 1964 by the American food company Frito-Lay, a wholly owned subsidiary of PepsiCo. The name derives from the Mexican Spanish “doradito”, meaning "golden brown".

The challenge

In continuation of the year-long campaign of #playbold together with Doritos, Brandboost continued the series by challenging four popular YouTube influencers to an epic drone race.

"The campaign reached over 2 million views and thousands of votes. The Hero video was also shown in cinemas before the new Star Wars movie."

The idea

The influencers created two videos each. The first was about preparing for the challenge and learning to fly a drone. They also asked their audience to vote for them as the winner of the challenge on www.doritos.nl. In the second video the influencers directed the audience to the Hero video that was uploaded on Doritos brand channel on YouTube.
